Stuart Cardiology Group, in conjunction with the patient’s primary physician, will carefully assess symptoms including shortness of breath, chest pain or irregular heart rhythm. If it is determined that further testing is needed, Stuart Cardiology Group has many diagnostic tools available to pinpoint and assess heart problems.

Dr-Gage

Joseph S. Gage, MD, FACC 

Dr. Gage received his medical degree from New York University School of Medicine, NY and completed his Internship and Residency at Bronx Municipal Hospital Center, NY. Dr. Gage completed his Fellowship in Clinical Cardiology and Internal Medicine at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, NY. He is Board Certified with The American Board of Cardiovascular Disease and The American Board of Internal Medicine. 

Dr. Gage has lived in South Florida for over 17 years. He is married and has two sons. He is an accomplished Marathoner competing in over 8 Marathons including the New York Marathon. Dr. Gage also enjoys flying and is a licensed pilot


Dr-Mufson

Larry H. Mufson, MD, FACC

Dr. Mufson received his medical degree from Emory University School of Medicine, GA - Magna Cum Laude and completed his Internship and Residency at University of Washington School of Medicine, WA. Dr. Mufson returned to Emory University School of Medicine, GA to complete his Fellowship in Diagnostic Invasive Cardiology, followed by a Fellowship in Interventional Cardiology. He is Board Certified with The American Board of Cardiovascular Disease and The American Board of Internal Medicine.

Dr. Mufson is a lifelong resident of South Florida. He was married for 22 years and has a daughter in college. Dr. Mufson is a talented musician and artist. He plays the drums in his spare time and is currently in a local rock and roll band that is made up mostly of doctors. 


Dr-Bradley

A. James Bradley III, MD, FACC 

Dr. Bradley received his medical degree from Wake Forest School of Medicine, NC and completed his Residency and Fellowship at the University of Massachusetts School of Medicine, MA. He is Board Certified with The American Board of Cardiovascular Disease, The American Board of Nuclear Cardiology and The American Board of Internal Medicine. 

Dr. Bradley has lived in South Florida for over 25 years. He is married and has two daughters. Dr. Bradley is an avid sailor, enjoys tennis and spending time with his family.  


Dr-Bennett

Norman E. Bennett, MD, FACC

Dr. Bennett received his medical degree from the Washington University of School of Medicine, MO. He completed his Internship and Residency from Strong Memorial Hospital – University of Rochester, NY, his Fellowship was completed at Barnes-Jewish Hospital St. Louis, MO. He is Board Certified with The American Board of Internal Medicine and The American Board of Cardiovascular Disease. 

Dr. Bennett has made South Florida his home for the past eleven years. Dr. Bennett is an avid golfer and enjoys mountain biking.


Dr-Eversole

Amy M. Eversole, MD, FACC

Dr. Eversole received her medical degree from University of Cincinnati, College of Medicine, OH. She completed her Internship, Residency and Fellowship in Cardiovascular Disease at the University of Florida & Affiliated Hospitals (IM Program); FL. Dr. Eversole is Board Certified with The American Board of Internal Medicine and The American Board of Cardiovascular Disease. 

Dr. Eversole has lived in Florida for over 12 years. She is married and has four children. She enjoys exercise and is a devoted runner who has competed in 15 marathons.


Dr-McIntyre

Stephen E. McIntyre, MD, FSCAI

Dr. McIntyre earned his medical degree from George Washington University Medical School. District of Columbia and completed his Internship and Residency at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, MD. He has completed both an Interventional Cardiology Fellowship and Cardiovascular Medicine Fellowship at the University of Florida Gainesville, Florida. Dr. McIntyre is Board Certified with The American Board of Internal Medicine, The American Board of Cardiovascular Disease for Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology. 

Dr. McIntyre is married and has three children. He is an avid biker and runner, completing numerous marathons.


W. Jason McManus, MD, FACC

Dr. McManus earned his medical degree from the University of Mississippi, Jackson, MS and completed his Internship, Residency, and Interventional Fellowship at the Medical University of South Carolina, Charleston, SC. He has completed his Cardiovascular Diseases Fellowship at Ochsner Clinic in New Orleans, LA. Dr. McManus is Board Certified with The American Board on Internal Medicine, The American Board of Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Diseases and The American Board of Internal Medicine, Interventional Cardiology. Dr. McManus is also Board Certified in Nuclear Cardiology. 

 Dr. McManus is married and has two children. Dr. McManus is a talented musician and enjoys boating.


Dr. George J. Goldman, MD, FACC

Dr. Goldman received his medical degree from the State University of New York, Downstate Medical Center. He completed his Internship, Residency and Chief Residency at Long Island Jewish Medical Center, NY. He completed his Cardiology Fellowship at Mount Sinai Hospital, NY. Dr. Goldman is board certified with the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Cardiovascular Disease. He is also board certified by the National Board of Echocardiography and is a certified cardiac device specialist.

Dr. Goldman recently relocated to South Florida from New York. He is married. He is an avid boater and golfer.


ADVANCED REGISTERED NURSE PRACTIONERS (ARNP)


Sonya Rae Fronsoe MSN, ARNP

Sonya Fronsoe joined Stuart Cardiology Group in 2001 as an Advanced  Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP).  Prior to her joining the practice, she was employed as a Registered Nurse in the cardiac cath lab. In 1994 she received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a minor in Biology from the University of Southern Mississippi. She continued her education and in 1998 received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Alabama. She went on to receive her Master of Science in Nursing from Samford University in 2001. Sonya is board certified as a family nurse practitioner through ANCC and an associate member of the American College of Cardiology.

She is passionate about woman’s heart health and reducing the epidemic of obesity, giving lectures to many large groups in the area on reducing their risk of heart disease by lifestyle modification.

She is married and has two children. Sonya is active in her church community, an avid runner and loves hitting the road in her RV for long weekends.


Cheryl Grumbach, MSN, ARNP

Cheryl Grumbach joined Stuart Cardiology Group in 2006. She received a Masters degree as an Advanced Nurse Practitioner from Florida Atlantic University in 1996.  Cheryl is Board certified by the ANCC.  Prior to becoming a Nurse Practitioner, Cheryl worked as a Registered Nurse in the CCU, ICU, andCVICU for over 13 years.

Cheryl’s other interests include holistic and natural medicine, world travel, wild life, old world artifacts and has a strong love of life and family. She is married with a daughter now in college, a dog, and 5 cats.


Kristen Kumar, MSN, ARNP

Kristen completed her undergraduate work at the University of Kansas with two Bachelor degrees, one in Psychology with a minor in Human Biology, and the other in Nursing. She worked as a Registered Nurse in cardiac transplant, telemetry, ICU, CVICU, and trauma for 10 years prior to advancing to an Advanced Nurse Practitioner.  She received a Masters of Science in Nursing at the Florida Atlantic University in 2009. She practiced as a Hospitalist Nurse Practitioner prior to joining Stuart Cardiology Group in 2012.

Kristen is married and has a daughter. She enjoys traveling to exotic places, yoga, and cooking with her husband.
